From the Temple Neuf or the train station built during the German annexation, through the Cathedral of St Etienne , the Porte des Allemands , its Renaissance and Middle Ages quarters, Metz bears witness to more than 3,000 years of history.

 

The Center Pompidou-Metz is a masterpiece of contemporary architecture. Designed by Shigeru Ban and Jean de Gastines, it offers three exhibition galleries covered by a daring roof reminiscent of a Chinese hat.

 

the  Graoully  is a mythical animal with the appearance of a  dragon, living in the arena of the amphitheater of  Metz, which would have devastated the city before being driven out by Saint  Clement of Metz, first  bishop of the city  in the 3rd  century.
