Municipality of Finistère,  Bénodet  is located in the south of the department, 13 kms from Quimper.
 
 The site is remarkable, combining the charm of the river (estuary, Penfoul site), and seascapes (Trez beach, the Letty). The estuary, in front of  Sainte-Marine  in the town of Combrit,  church  to  lighthouse of the Coq , is narrow and forms a real door between the river and the maritime environment.
