Amboise is a town in the Loire Valley in central France. It owes its reputation to the Château d'Amboise , the vast residence of Charles  VIII to XV  century, which houses the tomb of Leonardo  of  Vinci , royal apartments, gardens and underground corridors.
 
 At the exit of the city, the castle of Clos  Lucé is Leonardo's former residence  of  Vinc i, where he lived until his death in 1519. It includes a small museum exhibiting models of his creations.
 
 From the top of its 40m, the Pagoda of Chanteloup offers a unique panorama on the Royal Castle of Amboise , the Loire Valley and the forest.
