Guilvinec is located at the southwestern tip of Brittany in South Finistère , in  Bigouden country .
 
 Le Guilvinec is the  1st  French artisanal fishing port  (coastal and small fishing).
 It is the 3rd French port, after Boulogne-sur-Mer and Lorient, all fisheries combined (offshore, coastal and small-scale fishing).
