Amboise is a town in the Loire Valley in central France. It owes its reputation to Amboise castle , the vast residence of Charles VIII to XV century, which houses the tomb of Leonardo of Vinci , royal apartments, gardens and underground corridors.
Out of town, the Clos castle Lucé is the former residence of Leonardo of Vinc i, where he lived until his death in 1519. It includes a small museum exhibiting models of his creations.
From the top of its 40m, the Pagoda of Chanteloup offers a unique panorama of the Château Royal d'Amboise , the Loire Valley and the forest.
